I’m running my first half marathon tomorrow!! Wow I am so nervous & excited. I hope I finish :)
Good luck to all those running tomorrow…hope you have great weather!
Late on posting yesterday’s 10.4 mile run. A PR distance for me!
It was a good run except for all the swarms of gnats that we ran through. They were all stuck to my face and arms…and I inhaled a few. It was gross.
But I made it 10+ miles and I survived. What a great feeling.
3 miles around the Tulsa Driller. 33:54.
Never thought I’d start a Friday night out by running 3 miles, but glad I did!
Love these for dinner!! Meat & soy free.. 80 calories, 2.5 g fat, 11 g protein. And pretty tasty!
Had a Triple H run tonight…hot, humid, & hilly. Tried to take a nice pic of downtown Tulsa from the trail. Ran past Cherry Street & Utica Square (two very popular dining/shopping areas for those unfamiliar w/T-Town).
You know when you’re eating in a restaurant and someone runs by the window and it makes you feel guilty b/c they’re exercising and you’re stuffing your face? Well that was me tonight…ruining somebody’s cheese dip with 5 miles of guilt.
Another 3 miles on the books tonight! Glad it was only 84° and I was able to run tonight because hubby is getting his wisdom tooth extracted first thing tomorrow morning and I will be nursing him back to health. Average pace : 11:29.
Registered for my first half marathon!
I’ve been training for about a month now and ran 9 miles on Sunday (that was my PR distance!) so I think I will be ready by race day (9/22/12).
If all goes well, I plan to run my first full in November. Yay for goals!
"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."
